Orange Zest Cranberry Sauce

Total cook time: 20 mins

Serves: 8-10 hungry people 



  • 1 cup of raw sugar 

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 12 oz. package of fresh or frozen cranberries 

  • orange zest

  • Pinch of allspice 


  1. Add raw sugar into 1 cup of water and bring to a boil

  2. And stir the water to make the sugar dissolve faster. After your sugar has dissolved add the cranberries and lower heat to a simmer

  3. Let the cranberries simmer for about 10 mins until they pop and burst

  4. Once they have popped and the skins are soft, just smoothly stir the cranberry sauce till you get a chunky yet somewhat smooth consistency

  5. Sprinkle on the allspice and give it one more stir! 

  6. Remove from the pot and let the cranberry sauce get to room temp before serving

  7. Zest with some sassy orange
