Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients

 

  • Olive Oil: 1/4 Cup

  • Chili Powder: 3 Tbsp. 

  • Tomato Sauce: 8 oz. or 1 Can

  • Water or Vegetable Broth: 1 Cup

  • Ground Cumin: 2 tsp. 

  • Minced Garlic: 1 Tbsp. 

  • Salt: Pinch

Tools

 

  • Small Mixing Bowl

  • Medium Saucepan

  • Measuring Cup and Spoon

  • Stirring Spoon

  • Storage Jar

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat

  2. Add the chili powder and stir

  3. Cook until the bright red color turns a bit brown while stirring

  4. In a bowl mix the rest of the ingredients until it is fully blended

  5. Add to your saucepan and whisk until fully mixed

  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat until thickened

 

 

 

Storage

 

 Store in a sealed GLASS jar and store in the refrigerator

 

 Chefs Notes

 

1: Add 1-2 Tbsp. of Tapioca Flour to increase thickness
