Holiday Seitan Steak Tips

Total cook time: 13 mins

Serves: 8-10 hungry people 




  • 1 pound of seitan cut into the desired steak tip shape (See homemade seitan recipe) 

  • *optional* teaspoon of grapeseed oil 

  • 2 tsp. of dried sage

  • 1/2 tsp. of salt

  • 1 tsp. of black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram 

  • 1 Tbsp. of agave nectar

  • 1/8 tsp. of crushed red pepper

  • 1 pinch of ground cloves 




  1. Pre-heat stove-top to Medium Heat

  2. After you have cut your seitan into your desired shapes place the seitan, the seasonings, and agave into a Ziplock bag. And shake vigorously! Make sure all the pieces of seitan are completely coated with agave nectar and seasonings. 

  3. Let Tips marinate for 5 minutes,

  4. Pour your grapeseed oil into a pan on medium heat. Or if you wish to use water or veggie broth to lightly coat the skillet so the steak tips won't stick to your pan.

  5. Once the pan is heated, Pour Seitan into the pan 

  6. Let steak tip cook for 2 mins on each side. 

  7. Serve immediately
