5 WAYS TO HAVE THE BEST SOCIALLY DISTANT VALENTINES DAY

So heres the deal, COVID is still here. And let's face it! COVID put a damper on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. AND YES!

It's gonna be here for Valentines day! So you might as well start planning on having a socially distant Valentines. It's the right thing to do you guys!

Here are some tips on how you can have a banging (pun intented) Valentines day!

1. MAKE CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES!

Everyone loves chocolates! (and if they don't then it's time to rethink your relationship)

Buying chocolates is lame! If you can make sourdough bread during quarantine then you should be able to step up ya game with these easy to make chocolates. And if you need help, check out our dessert recipe page.

2. CREATE A MOMENT

Being stuck inside your home for months on end can get a little boring. So why don't you spruce up a spot in the house for a romantic night in.

Light some candles

Hang some christmas lights

Instacart a bottle of wine

Extra points if you can do an outdoor picnic or an indoor picnic!

Creating a moment in a usually boring place in your house shows you actually put in some work AND it's a great way to look back and think "Aww... that's where we had dinner for Valentines days during the apocalypse"

*wipes tear*

3. BUY SOMETHING FROM A SMALL BUSINESS

Small businesses are HUUUUUUURRRRRTING this year. So why not splurge on something for your loved one from a small business or local shop?

Small businesses usually have a unique one of a kind pieces that will give that extra sum sum for a romantic night in.

Why not Etsy?!

Here are our favorite Etsy shops if you're looking for inspiration!

4. MAKE A SPECIAL COCKTAIL

Now, of course, this one will only apply if you are not living a sober lifestyle.

But if you do partake in the occasional spirit from time to time.

Then create a special cocktail that you wouldn’t usually make at home, will really spice things up this Valentine’s day.

And if you want to add an extra shot or two into the mix juuuuuuuuuust to compensate for a shitty year. No one is gonna judge you! (Lord knows I wont!)

And of course, if you need help coming up with a cocktail. Just click the link below and copy one of our favorite cocktails.

You're welcome *winks eye*

5. Create a music playlist

Remember the days when you used to make a mix tape and give it to your honey as a present, and it was a LLEEEEEGIT gift?!

*Looks to the sky and reflects* Ah... the good ole days

So hear me out! It may sound cheesy now a days. But this old school method of love is a great way to show someone you care.

Add some songs you first listened to on your first date, the first song that was playing in the car when you were driving home from the date?

Why not add that one song with that one artist that reminds you guys of that one time in the hot tub during that vacation when ya'll had too much to drink and then ya'll got all ...... opps! ...

Well.... you know where I'm going with this.

Make sure it's personal, fun softly playing in the background when you guys are feeding each other the home made chocolate truffles.
