-
1/3 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/4 teaspoon salt

-
Waffle cone maker
-
Mixing bowl
-
Whisk
-
Measuring cups and spoons
Instructions:
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
-
Add the melted coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until you achieve a smooth batter with no lumps.
-
Preheat your waffle cone maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
-
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the center of the preheated waffle cone maker.
-
Close the lid and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the cone is golden brown and crisp.
-
Carefully remove the waffle cone and quickly shape it into a cone using a cone-shaped mold or by hand. Be cautious as it will be hot.
-
Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
-
Allow the waffle cones to cool and firm up before serving.
Storage: Store the waffle cones in an airtight container at room temperature. They should stay crisp for up to a week.
Chef Notes:
-
Customize your waffle cones by adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder to the batter for extra flavor.
-
If the batter seems too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding a bit more almond milk, one tablespoon at a time.
-
Experiment with different plant-based milk options to find the flavor you prefer for your waffle cones.
-
Get creative with toppings! Dip the edges of your cooled waffle cones in dairy-free chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts or shredded coconut for an extra indulgence.
